Why are you doing this?

After 30+ years as entrepreneurs/business owners/corporate managers we have seen the growth of mistrust between employees and their employers. We have studied the trends (and the fads) and seen that many individuals and their employers are working at cross-purposes, pursuing profit goals, sacrificing lives and increasing job dissatisfaction. At the same time, through studying literally hundreds of individuals that are examples of balanced success, we see that those who are engaged in pursuits (careers, jobs, or other work) that clearly match their intrinsic strengths, succeed almost effortlessly. And, we have also found that nearly all these people have achieved their success accidentally. The didn't choose their careers chose them through the application of their strengths.

You keep mentioning strengths. What is a strength?

You'll read much about strengths in our articles, so we suggest you begin there. But, for now, here's a simple answer. You were created with certain physical and mental abilities that are totally and uniquely yours. But, the chances are great that you have never been taught how to polish them and perfect them. So, they lie buried deep within you, like a vein of pure gold, waiting to be discovered. And, just like a gold ore, they need to be discovered, refined, and turned into a product that has tremendous value. Wouldn't you like to do this?

Does your 24 Hour Job Change method replace the traditional cover-letter/resume method?

Someday it will, but not at the moment. The traditional method has been in existence for about 100 years. It is strongly attached to the old industrial age and it will take quite a bit of time before it is replaced by anything. But, current advances in psychology have proven that the strengths theory (the basis of the 24 Hour Job Change method) is 100% correct. Employers are using it in their testing without informing job applicants. This is wrong. It's like going to a jewelry appraiser with your diamond. If you're selling the diamond, he tells you it's not worth much. But, if you're buying it's very valuable. Both you and your prospective employer must understand the value of your strengths.
